Version 3 upwards requires at least PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5. PhpMyAdmin've won several awards, including the best PHP based application and awarded as the "best tool for sysadmins" from the SourceForge.net community. Until now phpMyAdmin has been developed over 14 years and consistently improve its quality.
